Each of our contest hosts or venues is expected to have contests begining in August and ending in December with 6 singers advancing to semi-finals. Contest is open to new entries from August through December (or so depending on the host).

KWCUSA 2005 Nationals were held on Friday May 27 and Saturday May 28, 2005 at Nickelby's Restaurant in Tumwater, WA.
KWCUSA 2004 Nationals were held on the last Friday, of May 2004, at Mehfil's in Lacey Washington.

August

KWCUSA Local Tournaments

Contest is officialy opens in August each year, and contestants have (through December) the option of entering any preliminary competitions at will. Individual hosts and venues may hold additional contests to eliminate all except six finalists who will be entitled to advance, possibly to a semi-finals competitions beginning in January with their as directed.

Note: Hosts and Venues have until the end of December to select their finalists. This will end the tournaments presented by individual hosts and venues.

KWCUSA Semi-finals

Semi-finals will continue for two months. All finalists from individually hosted tournaments are eligible to enter the semi-finals.

KWCUSA State Finals

The State Finals event is open to the 30 semi-finalists in the state.

April

KWCUSA Regional Finals

In April, KWCUSA Regional Finals hosts will be holding their 10 regional finals. Each region will qualify three male and three female singers eligible to compete in the USA finals. If finalists are unable to attend, hosts may substitue the next ranked finalist.

Our final contest will be in May. Our final contest will reduce the field down from a total of 60 competitors to name first secound and third place male and female USA finalists. 2003, 2004, and 2005 USA Finals were hosted by Miss Marcella, our first KWCUSA National Finals Hostess, with gear provided by E.T.'s Cosmic Karaoke & DJ

June

KWCUSA Contest break

No KWCUSA Contests will scheduled for June. The month of june will be used for the annual updating of the KWCUSA website, and the making of final travel arrangements or awards for our USA finalists.

July

This is how we send out information to all the contestants, sponsors, venues, hosts and managers alike.
Messages posted to the group are moderated and you will receive email concerning the events. There is no fee involved in this, it is just our means of communicating with a large group all at once.

We need contestants. Preliminary qualifying contests are from August through December each year.

We need Hosts for these event. Hundreds will be required.

We need Karaoke businesses to participate as USA Hosts.

Qualify to host just a single local event, or a tournament, by volunteering to host an additional contest for KWCUSA.

Existing local competitions are especially encouraged to contact us immediately so that your event can be included in the World Championships competition run offs as an official event.

Are you the happening Karaoke Host in your area? Get your events sanctioned as part of this contest, and send the winners on the road to world karaoke domination, (and present them with a 'local winners certificate' to participate in the next level of competition.)

Additional entry fees may be set and collected with the KWCUSA entry fee ($20) by the hosts.

We do not guarantee that they will be enough to fully cover the expense of a round trip ticket and accommodations to world finals for the winners, but we set them at an amount which will (hopefully) permit this. Our intention is to create a team, and we will increase the number of team mates fully or partially sponsored by KWCUSA as the fund total increases and permits.

We promise to keep the administrative costs to a maximum of 50% of the entry fees, with the other (minimum of) 50% being distributed to the contest participants. But we also guarantee that the Grand Prize for USA (1 male and 1 female) Finalist Winners will be given highest priority, and that if the entry fees are less than the anticipated cost of the prize, then we will simply award all of it as (2) cash prizes to offset the winners trips to world finals.

The contest is open to everyone of age to participate. If you sing, we will try to find an event for you to enter. Transportation will be up to the contestants, and the age limitations of the venues may prevent under age contestants from advancing until venues are found which permit them. (Ages 16-20 are advised that this may prevent their full participation as they may not have the chance to compete in the runoffs and finals due to local laws. However, we are in the preocess of changing our age divisions and anticipate adding this age group to the yuounger divisions.

You can participate in listing schedules for local competitions, or regional events and display pictures and bios of the winners.

We will list your site here (or provide a link to the listings from here) so the singers will easily find their local contest hosts and competitions (you.)
